This walk, which is under two kilometres and easy to do, begins and ends (it’s circular) at the parking area of our apartments; there, you’ll find the route start panel.
The Cabornos are old chestnut trees, some over a hundred years old, that were grafted in the past to improve the quality of their chestnuts. Their trunks are thick and hollowed out and wrinkled from the passage of time. Some of them make for a fantastic photo opportunity!
Following the signage, the informational panels will explain the curiosities of the Cabornos, what a corrá is... all while you enjoy the forest and the company of these ancient chestnut trees.
Ideal for the first contact with the Redes Natural Park when you arrive at La Xamoca and you’re eager to put on your boots!
La Xamoca can also be a gift! It is very easy: just tell us the details and we'll send you a beautiful gift voucher to surprise someone special.
