Are you staying at La Xamoca?

25 april 2026

Are you staying at La Xamoca? Here’s a one-day plan to enjoy the surrounding area:

You wake up at La Xamoca with that feeling of complete disconnection that only truly special places can offer. You step out onto the terrace, the morning air still fresh, and as you prepare breakfast, you pause for a few moments in silence, taking in the views: green mountains, low mist drifting through the valleys. It’s one of those moments that makes the whole trip worthwhile.

With renewed energy, you set off towards one of the most iconic routes in the Natural Park: the Alba Route. This is an easy and rewarding trail that runs alongside the Alba River, through riverside forests, wooden bridges, and limestone gorges. Perfect for enjoying at a relaxed pace, stopping for photos or simply to listen to the sound of the water. You can do it on your own by following the marked path, or enhance the experience with a guided interpretive tour by Terix Biointerpretación, which provides insight into the local wildlife, flora, and history of the area.

At the end of the route, it’s time to recharge. If you decide to stay in Soto de Agues, a great option is to eat at La Plaza de Soto, with its local atmosphere and traditional cuisine. Another alternative is Restaurante Camaleón, located at the municipal campsite, ideal if you’re looking for something more casual. If you feel like going a bit further, in Rioseco you’ll find El Balcón de Redes, a safe bet with beautiful views and a carefully crafted menu.

After lunch, it’s time to do what your body is asking for: rest. You return to your apartment at La Xamoca and enjoy its comfort. It’s easy to relax here—the silence, the natural light streaming through the windows, and that cozy atmosphere that invites you to take a guilt-free nap or enjoy some quiet reading.

In the afternoon, you head out to discover Campiellos, a charming small village where you can truly feel the essence of Asturian folk heritage. You stroll among traditional granaries, stone houses, and rural paths that seem frozen in time. If you feel like walking more, you can choose the Ruta de los Cabornos, or opt for a more accessible path for a gentler but equally beautiful walk.

As night falls, you have a very convenient option to end the day: dinner at Restaurante Los Cabornos, just a few steps from the accommodation, where you can enjoy a relaxed meal with local flavors. And if you prefer something more intimate, you can always stay in your apartment, light the fireplace, and let the crackling fire provide the perfect finishing touch to a perfect day in the heart of nature.
